We sell and ship only within the lower 48 United States. We do not offer products or services to customers outside the United States.
When you place an order. Our checkout collects your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, an optional company name, and any order notes you choose to add. We need this information to process your order, arrange delivery, and contact you about your purchase.
When you use our contact form. We collect your name, email address, and the content of your message.
When you join our email list. If you tick the box to receive updates, we collect your email address and add it to our marketing list.
When you schedule a call. Booking a phone call with the owner collects your name, email address, and the time you select.
When you call or write to us directly. Most of our sales begin with a phone conversation. Whatever you tell us during that conversation, we keep only what we need to answer your questions and, if you decide to buy, to build and deliver your console.
When you browse the site, some information is collected without you entering it:
This automatic collection powers our website analytics and our advertising measurement. You can decline it using the cookie banner that appears when you first visit, or at any time through the Cookie settings link in our footer. Declining does not affect your ability to browse the site, use the cart, or complete a purchase.
All payments are handled by Stripe, including credit and debit cards, Link, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and US bank transfers. When you enter payment details at checkout, that information goes directly to Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number, bank account number, or security code. Stripe processes your payment information under its own privacy policy, which you can read at stripe.com/privacy.
We do receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, along with the last four digits of the card and its type, so we can identify your order and handle refunds.
We do not have employees or contractors who access customer records. Only the owner of Streamline HiFi has access to our order system. However, a small number of service providers necessarily handle some of your information in order to run the business:
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights.
We want to be specific about this, because it is the part of online advertising people are least often told about clearly.
If you have accepted cookies, our website reports certain actions to Meta so we can measure our advertising. This happens in two ways: through code running in your browser, and through information sent directly from our website’s server to Meta. The second method can include a scrambled, unreadable version of your email address and phone number, which Meta uses to determine whether you saw one of our advertisements. Meta cannot read the original address or number from the scrambled version, but it can match it against information Meta already holds.
If you decline cookies, none of this happens. Both the browser-based and the server-based reporting stop entirely.
Streamline HiFi does not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for payment. We have never done so and have no plans to.
Order records are kept for as long as we need them for warranty support, accounting, and tax purposes. Our consoles are built to last generations, and we would rather be able to help a customer years later than delete their record on a schedule.
Email marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact form messages are kept as long as they remain useful for supporting you. Analytics information is kept according to the retention settings in Google Analytics.
Our site uses encryption to protect information in transit, and access to our order system is limited to the owner. No system is perfectly secure, but we have deliberately kept the number of people and services that touch your information as small as possible.
Cookies and tracking. Use the Cookie settings link in our footer to accept or decline analytics and advertising at any time.
Marketing emails. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also write to us and we will remove you.
Your information. You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to make these requests. Whether or not the law requires it, we will honor them. We may need to keep certain records for tax or warranty purposes, and we will tell you if that applies.
Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so may affect how the site works, particularly the shopping cart.
To make any of these requests, contact us using the details at the end of this policy. We will not treat you differently for exercising them.
Our site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Significant changes will be noted clearly.
