As founder of Streamline HiFi, Steve is an entrepreneur with a profound love for music and stereo systems. His journey began in college, where he studied business and music production, cultivating a deep appreciation for the artistry of sound. Steve spent over a decade as a contractor in custom home building, developing an expertise in the craft of transforming a living space into a home.
His appreciation of music and passion for woodworking craftsmanship led him to collect and restore old stereo consoles, breathing new life into vintage treasures. At a pivotal moment, after crafting an original guitar cabinet with a distinct mid-century modern aesthetic appeal, the idea sparked which led to the birth of Streamline HiFi. Steve’s career and personal project development experiences have been foundational in the formation of Streamline HiFi and its unique line of stereo consoles.

As the son of an engineer, John grew up building Heathkit components and science kits, leading to a lifelong interest in electronics and ham radio. He holds bachelor and Master degrees in electronics earned at Columbia and Cornell Universities, respectively. In 1977, John relocated to Silicon Valley and began working in integrated circuit design and computer systems design, starting at Intel and continuing, working for Tandem Computers, Silicon Compilers, Apple Computer and Rambus. John shifted to consulting in the 90s while developing an increasing knowledge of vacuum tube audio technology. Besides many personal projects, he has worked as a consultant for Summit Audio, Artemis Labs, CE Distribution and Streamline Hifi. John is keenly interested in the historic evolution of technology and is assembling archives from the vacuum-tube era, which are available on his website.
A lifelong student of audio arts technology, Peter became fascinated with music and sound systems at an early age. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Cornell University College of Engineering, where he studied electrical engineering supplemented by a self-guided minor in audio sciences. Peter began his career working in the R&D department at Meyer Sound Laboratories, where he designed electrical amplification systems that drive high fidelity public address speaker systems. Later, Peter founded Sierra Audio Solutions in the Lake Tahoe area, which focuses on event production, sound system design & installation, and sound acoustic dynamics. When he’s not mixing music or building sound systems, Peter loves playing outdoors with his dog, Roo.
